Let the Right One In is certainly a horror movie, make no mistake, but it's also an adorable romance that plays out like Moonrise Kingdom if the kids in that were Danny Torrance and Dafne Keen from Logan. The Swedish winter setting really captures the sense of isolation and loneliness the main character, Oskar, feels living under the constant threat of some Stephen King bullies, and his burgeoning relationship with next-door vampire, Eli, is like a crackling fire you huddle around to keep yourself warm. But is it real love? Does Eli truly find her better half in Oskar, or has she just found a suitably abused serial killer in-the-making who she can turn into her new familiar?
"I'm not a girl," I'm a 200 year old woman. My last familiar? That dude who melted his face off? Met him as a kid too...
