This moves so damn well. General Groves is asked about Oppenheimer's security clearance and his answer isn't returned to for over an hour, yet it feels like mere moments ago. And speaking of Groves, as great as all the white men are, I still believe Matt Damon delivers the best of the supporting performances.
Like the four labs connected by rail, the editing, the performances, the direction, and the score meet to create something world-shattering. It's still the best of the year!
