Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a revitalisation of the superhero genre, coupling ground-breaking animation techniques with a invigorating visual style. It's that next step that Spider-Man needed; its a fresh start with new characters and a love letter to die hard fans of the comics. The humour is excellent, using visual cues to help aid it. This film is the epitome of what happens when you let creative minds have freedom. Nobody is under restraints from dominating companies - looking at you Disney - and it's clear to see the life and soul the animators put into this film. And therefore, it's admirable in that aspect. But it goes further. ITSV is simply a fully-fleshed rollercoaster of life and joy. It's fun, upbeat and utterly brilliant.
