i could probably try for the rest of my life and still never be able to explain what this film means to me. i know every note, every line, every shot. i think everyone has something in their life, one piece of art, that sticks with them forever and becomes an irreplaceable part of who they are. and maybe la la land isn't that thing and over the years i'll forget it even exists and something else will replace it, but right now watching it for the first time in a while just feels like finally coming home after a really long, hard day
