Ti West, the fucking visionary that you are! I absolutely loved this as a way to wrap up the trilogy. The 80’s aesthetic is perfectly encapsulated and really sets the tone for the film. There are so many amazing parallels between this and it’s predecessors. Everyone’s performances were extremely captivating, I really don’t feel like anyone fades into the background here. I enjoyed the whodunnit slasher aspect, and it was the first time that I was able to accurately pinpoint who may be behind it all. I believe that Maxxxine will go down as the Scream 3 of the franchise, both in the film within a film storytelling and in a more divisive regard. So many moments had my jaw in the floor! I absolutely had a blast, but understand that it will not be for everyone.
