seeing the last scenes of La La Land where it’s the “alternative ending” and Mia with Seb get married and have a kid really breaks my heart bc they both imagine what they could’ve been IF but I’m SO happy that it’s not the real ending bc it’s not the right ending nor the realistic one,cause they were both younger then and they had to work hard in order to achieve their dreams and also work on themselves it could never work in the real world only in a false made up fairytale bc real life relationships don’t always work out and it’s normal. Damien did the right thing because the entire film it’s based on a modern life story and the “fairytale ending” could not be suitable though it’s still a happy ending,Mia became a successful actress with a husband and a child that she really loves and Sebastian finally opened his dream jazz bar,so in the end they are happy and complete but they also can mourn about the loss of one another like a bittersweet memory.
