Robert Eggers is one to watch.
Since everyone here is complimenting Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson, thought I’d give a round of applause to Eggers.
His use of black and white, mixed with the lighting of the film really captures the mood and enhances the tense moments.
So original, and adds to A24’s strong record of fresh-orginal stories that Hollywood desperately needs.
