528491 on the big screen!
I've seen this movie many times, but seeing it in the theater brought out still more small details that I hadn't noticed before—for example, when we see Cobb and Ariadne working on the mazes, and then we cut to the two of them talking outside the cafe. I noticed this time that Ariadne is wearing a different scarf, which should be a clue that something has happened in the time of the cut—either time has passed, or they're in a dream. As it happens, both have taken place, because when she wakes up, she's wearing that second scarf, showing that the audience has missed some time: we don't know how they got where they were, even when it's revealed that we didn't know exactly where they were at first.
It also strikes me as odd that Cobb's children are always referred to as "James and Philippa," even though Philippa is obviously the older of the two. It seems much more natural to name the older child first, and so the fact that the younger always comes first is perhaps a clue that something is backwards in the world we're seeing.
Little things like this are part of what keep the movie so interesting to watch every time. What's also very clear seeing this on the big screen is that it hasn't aged poorly at all. It looks fresher and better than most movies that have come out in the ten years since. I don't love every movie by Christopher Nolan, but in this one, everything came together perfectly.
