Really bold to name your 12-year-old blonde character Riley within the same release cycle as Inside Out 2. Is this the new stock white girl name of the generation?
There is no part of this movie where someone talks like a natural human and that alone made it hard to immerse myself or feel any real uncertainty or suspense until the back end. The title and previews lead you to believe you’re in for a claustrophobic single-location thriller a la Die Hard and what it betrays you for is not the pay off it should be.
