When we detonate an atomic device, we might start a chain reaction that destroys the entire world.
Yes it is as good as everyone says it is and its exciting to see this much viewer participation for something that isnt a goddamn marvel movie
saw in IMAX at 10 AM on a saturday in a packed theater, cannot remember the last time i had that much communal fun at the cinema. 5 stars for the sensory achievement alone. the black and white IMAX looks incredible, sound design and score are so creative and experimental and haunting (when he hears those isolated screams of horror among all the cheers specifically stands out). though i wish the bomb scene hadnt been broken up into so many reaction shots, the delayed sound really worked and was sufficiently terrifying.
every actor ate, every shot is great, will go down as Nolan’s best and most ambitious work. and you can actually hear the dialogue which is a true sign of growth for him lmaooo.
didnt feel like 3 hours and i left the theater into the sun entirely dazed with my ears hurting but i am 100 percent going again. might be inflating the rating a bit but its definitely one of the best theater experiences ive ever had, cant imagine not seeing it on the biggest screen possible, so 5 stars is warranted for the experience.
upset that i didnt see full cillian dong but ig that doesnt matter lolll
