A great first solo outing for Tom Holland's Spider-Man. Brilliant score, almost flawless cgi and some great character introductions (I'm in love with Zendaya's MJ). We also get to see something rarely spotted in a Marvel film, an actually kind of good villain. This is largely down to Michael Keaton who does a stellar job at portraying a bird that is also an evil communist genius with a talent for building weapons as well as being loving family man on the side. It does peter off (sorry for the pun) around the middle of the film but soon gets back on track. Surprisingly great for a film I was barely excited for.
