coming off after the first, this expanded vastly on it, Burton's idea, fully realised. felt like a culmination of the films he helped out on or even directed; fastest to come to mind... Coraline.
at the end, i'm filled with an odd sense of calmness and joy. it was the practical effects, beautiful set design and a wonderful cast that made me have such a good time.
looking through critical lenses, ofc it has flaws like Monica and Dafoe's performance, albeit great, weren't critical to the story... alongside the outdated jokes and language.
normally, i'm hyper critical on the types, but i'm giving it an exception because it was almost on par with the original in vibes while taking it in a good direction.
definitely not for everyone, but those who are fans of tim burton and esp Beetlejuice, you're gonna feast (hopefully)
