THE GOOD
Pretty much everything. The way I view it, the two things that stood out for me is the wardrobe and the action sequences. My oh my. I would say that the wardrobe is simple, but at the same time, really stylish. I love the suits worn by Chow Yun Fat and Danny Lee. Moreover, I love how the action sequences are mindless and just pure badassery. Honestly? The best things to have come out of the film. I could go on for hours, but for the sake of the review, I'd rather not. I'm not surprised if this is my all-time favourite film in an alternate reality.
THE BAD
Some of the transitions are very obnoxious. Additionally, the ending felt a little bit anticlimactic and Jennie's singing is a bit out of sync? But like Reservoir Dogs, I don't care about what the film suffers from, I love it with all my heart.
... AND THE FINAL VERDICT!
The Killer is perhaps my favourite action film of all time. It is only my second Hong Kong action flicks from the 80s, and I've already been blown away. It may be suffering from a few inconsequential issues, but as I've mentioned before, I don't care. Would I recommend it? Hell yes! Especially if you're a sucker for these type of films.
