I'll be honest, I'm a little confused as to why this is a 2? yeah, it's by no means great, nowhere near Shyamalan's best work and the acting is...rough. Whalberg was horribly miscast and I was not a fan of Deschanel either unfortunately.
However, I enjoyed myself. It was a lot of fun and obviously a satire, I really liked the atmosphere, I thought it was interesting, there were several scenes that really shocked me, some cool shots especially at the start and I loved the score!! I can't help but sit here and think this is very over-hated, which is a shame because while it's not perfect it's far from bad in my opinion. Worth a watch anyway.
