Despite the phenomenal cast I put doubt on with little to no expectations and I was massively surprised. If you want to see acting at the highest possible level look no further than Doubt, both Streep and PSH (what a loss) are truly magnificent, Adams is typically great and even with one solitary scene Viola Davis steals the show.
I'm a big stage show fan and this to me is a play come to life, Roger Deakins superb cinematography elevates even beyond that and crafts something special for the big screen. I don't want to give away much with story, experiencing it blind is definitely the way to go however it definitely lives up to the name Doubt and it manages to talk about religion, the church and it's allegations, sexism, racism and more. Definitely worth your time, slow and methodical but tense and impactful. I have no Doubt you will love this ( I couldn't help myself)
