MrPPeeps’s review published on Letterboxd:
"Day One" may have the most relatable horror characters ever, because I too would risk everything in an alien apocalypse for the pets along the way.
I was told I would love this, and love this I most certainly did! May not be the best in the series, but it may just be my favourite. It was so intense, unsuspectingly emotional (it got some tears from me), incredibly well acted, and I was so immersed in it all that I could honestly feel my blood boiling everytime someone in the cinema made the even the slightest bit of sound in case it alerted the monsters!!! If that doesn't show how much I was enjoying it I don't know what does.
A prequel film done right in my opinion and I think this might just be my favourite horror franchise.
Final questions
1.Frodo is a shoe-in for best supporting actor right??
2.Why on earth is Lupita Nyong'o, one of the best actors working today, not in more projects!!! WHY?!?!? She is phenomenal!
