Add this to the list of movies with a star-studded cast and legendary composer that just don’t hit the mark. It is painfully slow and boring at times. I had to watch this over two sittings. I like what it is trying to do but it doesn’t hit. I found Cameron Diaz’s subplot to be uninteresting. I love Kate Winslet and Jack Black (although less so for him lately). This movie just didn’t do them any favors. It is also only vaguely Christmas-y besides the timing and some needle drops. Probably not worth a rewatch.
