Might think a little less of the characterizations on this watch, and yes, as an exercise in using one type of flick (the porno) to comment on the other (horror) it's a bit obvious. But as far as I'm concerned this movie's mere existence is a net positive. The fact that it's this beautifully made, and this savvy about history and genre, gives it real staying power. And when shit hits the fan it really hits, in ways that elicit shock and laughter.
And why does that Fleetwood Mac cover work so well? And why is Kid Cudi so good??
