Deeply amused by this premise. Meeting people IRL has moved so outside the realm of expected behavior that group of friends employ heist-like planning to create meet cutes. Needed a director with more panache to match that set up. Deeper characterizations. But Gina Rodriguez could be a rom-com star in a better industry, Damon Waynes Jr. seems over medicated in his movie roles and it feels like a choice, like he’s trying to deviate from his persona on shows like "New Girl" and "Happy Endings." It is the wrong choice.
Also being a netflix production, needless to say it looks like nothing. If you're gonna be a movie please look like a movie. Why is that so hard?
