Great title. Plays now like a nightmare you may have had at the height of the pandemic. A bleak one at that. I appreciate how it doesn’t flinch in that respect. Edgerton is always reliable but Kelvin Harrison Jr. remains the standout. He really has it. His terror and unease is scary enough for a hundred jump scares (put him in more things, Hollywood!). But the majority of elements here just aren’t fully worked through or are too familiar. Ejogo, Abbott and Keough are pretty much wasted.
