Tim Burton is still at it, 36 years later, capturing the same spooky style that made the original "Beetlejuice" iconic. I loved the practical effects and how the film blended stop-motion, 2D, and CGI to bring his goth and gory underworld to life. However, the plot felt like it was juggling two sequel ideas—one centered on the Bride of Beetlejuice (Monica Bellucci) and the other on Lydia’s daughter (Jenna Ortega). Dropping one of these storylines could’ve tightened the runtime to a sleek 90 minutes, like the original. Still, it’s a massive box office hit and the perfect start to spooky season. Anything that brings butts to seats is a win!
