Letterboxd is acting like the Borderlands movie murdered their first born child, brought decades of famine on their home country, and spit on the legacy of the entire franchise.. As a longtime fan of the Borderlands videogames, I actually had some fun watching this movie and seeing some of these iconic locations / characters reimagined here. Jack Black as Claptrap even got a few laughs out of me.. But my god was some of the writing and CGI just straight up abysmal, to the point where I can’t believe some god forsaken soul had to sit there in an editing room piecing together this mess. Also this movie might have one of the most awkward and abrupt endings I’ve seen, it’s reaches arguably the most interesting part of the whole movie, and then it just cuts to black and shows the squad watching some fireworks??
