The BEST Shrek movie and I will stand by that. Everything in this movie is so fun and I barely have any issues with it. It’s actually so fun and so so good, it’s nostalgic and has some great moments with amazing song choices. The humor is so good here and made me laugh a bunch, and then they also introduce one of the best cats in cinema, Puss In Boots. Ironically, the song choices is why I wanted to talk about and rewatch this movie the most.
I’m not sure if this is common, but for some reason, I thought the song that the fairy godmother sang was “I will survive”. But it isn’t as of course it’s “Holding out for a hero”, which makes so much sense as it fits perfectly with the scene. I’m not sure why I thought this, maybe another movie had the song and I confused it with that, but I needed to rewatch it as I felt not as great as a Shrek fan.
Anyways, great movie and so so classic and iconic. I’m pretty sure this movie turns 20 years old this year which is absolutely crazy. I will love this movie and stand by it forever, one of the best animated for sure. 🙌
