I haven’t really logged anything in like 3 days, but I’ve been doing some other catching up with different things such as a tv show (House of the Dragon) and a game (Ghost of Tsushima). But here I am, with an amazing film by Villeneuve. I was told to watch this by a good friend of mine and he was right, this is such a great watch. Villeneuve is probably one of my favorite current directors working right now, and this is another one to his great filmography. It’s so captivating, it’s stunning to watch and see, and ultimately is just straight up breathtaking.
Cinematography and score, both so amazing, the story is soooo good here too, I didn’t know exactly what to expect but I liked it. The unexpected little twist caught me off guard, the whole time I was thinking something but then it flipped and was the other way around. Both Adams and Renner give great performances, especially Adams as she steals certain scenes here.
And omg, this was actually pretty sad too, I don’t wanna get into spoilers but the final conversations and line of the movie were pretty sad to hear. The whole idea around that concept is honestly sad and they did it perfectly here. I’d really recommend it, another great Villeneuve film.
