Such a mixed bag, this. On the one hand, I love to see Tim Burton embracing the sort of dark irreverence that Disney has never been comfortable with. On the other hand, things get so random here, there's a slight sense of him desperately trying to hit those old marks he used to nail without thinking about it - sometimes hitting the board, sometimes throwing that dart right into the barman's arse.
Give him another pint and tell him to try again. And yes, fine, he's welcome to keep casting Monica Bellucci in plot-irrelevant roles, as far as I'm concerned.
