The Wild Robot is exactly the kind of maturity children’s movies not only need, but deserve.

Among its breathtaking animation is a braveness to confront the circle of life head on and hold younger viewers’ hands through that depiction with both humor and heart. For old heads like me, it’s the emotional relationship between Roz, Brightbill, and Fink that hooked me like I haven’t been hooked since Marcel the Shell with Shoes On.
