takes historical fiction to the extreme here…cause how’d they get sharks in the colosseum
i wanted this to be amazing sooo badly. it just isn’t, none of the emotion, dramatics and momentum is carried into the next film from the original. dynamics are strange and honestly rushed in the end. but wow that last scene was utterly amazing…definitely a theatre experience
mescal also just delivers a painfully underwhelming performance, and the plot is overall confusing but also way too similar to the prior film
