One of many required seasonal watches. I can’t help but adore old school sentimental dramas about loving families just living life when times were simpler and battling difficult circumstances together rather than turning on each other. Genuine emotional manipulation at its finest; I fall for it every time with no qualms. Beautiful sets, gorgeous wardrobes, and 120+ year old customs that almost feel both foreign and familiar at the same time—a rose-colored time capsule of American culture filled with wonder and joy. Final scenes & song bring a tear to my eye. Gotta love the classics.

P.S. Kids are soft nowadays. Bring back whatever the fuck Halloween used to be.
