“I don’t ever want to forget him.”
LONGLEGS is genuinely a well-crafted horror film. I’ll start by saying that some of the earliest reviews were honestly a bit too overdramatic, but this film is genuinely the best horror you’ll see this year. The marketing for this film is quite literally unmatched and had me in a chokehold to see it as soon as possible, and it undoubtedly lived up to the hype. You will be filled with anxiety the entire time, and you will be uncomfortable. The pacing and the atmosphere really set the tone for this film. LONGLEGS isn’t good because it’s scary, it’s good because it knows how to make its audience uncomfortable. It knows how to get under your skin and just sit there, long after the movie is already over. This is one movie I won’t forget any time soon. I might just have to watch it again to get it out of my system.
