Reminiscent of those classic Pixar shorts from the 90s and 2000s. Pedro Pascal and Lupita Nyong'o disappear in these roles, they wouldn't have been in my top 10 guesses behind these characters. The story is structured as if each of the three acts is its own narrative, in turn keeping things interesting and paced extremely well. And of course, it's absolutely overflowing with heart. Heartwarming film. Doesn't necessarily break new ground but does what it sets out to do very well.
