It was hard to know who was more crazy... me... or everyone else.
Ein Action-Fest der Extraklasse mit Bildern, dessen Schönheit mich zwei Stunden lang beeindruckt haben. Ein Meilenstein des Action-Kinos, der mit einem rasenden Pacing daherkommt. Mein einziger Grund diesem Werk keine volle Wertung zu geben liegt im Mangel an Tiefe in der Mythologie. Auch bei der zweiten Sichtung bleibt mir das Worldbuildung etwas zu klein. Sonst? Atemberaubend.
Selbst mein einziger Kritikpunkt bringt einen Vorteil mit sich. Es verhält sich wie bei dem ersten The Raid Film. Wenn ich vordergründig die best gemachte Action der Filmgeschichte sehen will, dann schaue ich einen dieser zwei Streifen, die beide nur 90-120min lang gehen. Ohne viel reden. Ohne viel Story. Einfach nur dauerhaftes Fallen der Kinnlade.

A first-class action festival with images whose beauty impressed me for two hours. A milestone in action cinema that comes with a breakneck pace. My only reason for not giving this work a full rating is the lack of depth in the mythology. Even on the second viewing, the worldbuilding remains a bit too small for me. Otherwise? Stunning.
Even my only criticism has an advantage. It's like the first The Raid film. If I primarily want to see the best action in film history, then I'll watch one of these two films. Without much talking. Without much story. Just constant jaw dropping.
