Too shiny :/
When you make something look expensive and glossy and shiny and new, you lose the charm of what made the og so charming in the first place. Where was my foam grass, hm?
Tired of the trauma - pt 394. Seriously, enough. I’m gonna start looking movies up beforehand and if they have anyone dealing with trauma through horror I’m OUT.
Kind of unnecessary, honestly. Very first time I saw the trailer I knew I wasn’t interested and should have just trusted my gut and ignored this like I’ve ignored S. Darko and Shock Treatment and Grease 2 but I saw lots of good reviews and doubt crept in. This just didn’t need to happen. Nothing new was brought to the table that I felt added to or expanded on the story. So what.
An uninspired redo of the lipsync dance scene. A disappointing sigh.
Wasn’t crazy about any of the new characters. Jenna Ortega moped and complained. Beetlejuice’s wife was giving Spirit Halloween Morticia Adams. Too many Shrunken Head dudes.
I didn’t laugh, and besides one lady having a blast, neither did anyone else. A silent and unenthused audience.
Meh. Keep it.
