Huh. So that's what Ozzy the Opossum referenced in the cinematic masterpiece Over the Hedge.
Another reason I love the Rosebud reveal is because it explained this one reference from an episode of Fetch with Ruff Ruffman (if you're like me who didn't grow up with cable TV in the early 2010s) that I now finally get.
Well, I can finally prove my film fan status by legally saying I watched Citizen Kane. I went into it with minor expectations, with the snob part of me hoping that it would be a boring, old movie I could write off.
But dammit, it's pretty good, ngl.
It chronicles the rise and fall of a promising young man thrust into a world of wealth and power he wasn't prepared for, only to inevitably end up a self-absorbed rich douchebag. Backed up by great performances, a bombastic score (could've maybe toned it down a little, though), and at the time, pretty revolutionary cinematography I can still commend today.
That bird jumpscare got me.
