Undemanding but very enjoyable Disney family fare which gets most things right from the not-too-irritating child characters to some quality Rick Moranis comedy moments. Sure, the visual effects are in places pretty ropey, but a re-watch some 27 years after I saw it at the cinema didn't do much to dent my childhood memories of how much I enjoyed it. What I did not know until the opening credits rolled was that the original story was by horror stalwarts Stuart Gordon and Brian Yuzna!
