I saw it a second time, and I enjoyed it more than the first time which is interesting to me. I really admire the visuals that Tim Burton incorporated in this film, making it feel nostalgic but new at the same time. The performances are hilarious, witty, quirky, and fun, my favorite being Catherine O’ Hara’s performance as Delia. It’s meta, but not too meta, and while the plot has moments where it’s feeling rushed, it doesn’t matter to me because it’s still a humorous, silly, and fun film. Obviously the first one is better, it being timeless, but I think this one will age well.
