I have always wanted to watch this movie. I had it in my DVD queue, which was moving up quickly, but I decided to watch it on Hulu instead. It took me a little while to get through it though because my internet kept dropping out for short periods for some reason. I guess someone didn't want me watching this movie, but I did manage to get through it.

Nina is a ballerina who dreams of becoming the lead in Black Swan. When she finds out that her dance company will be performing it, she is thrilled to learn that she is one of the women up for the lead role. Nina has had a sheltered life though, with her mother being controlling and keeps a close eye on Nina. Nina finds herself under a lot of pressure, but can her mind handle it?

I honestly wasn't sure how well I would like this movie, which is probably why I didn't get in a big hurry to watch it even though I wanted to. I'm not into dancing so movies that incorporate dancing in their story is a movie I have a hard time getting into. While I was enjoying the acting by all those involved, I wasn't into the story all that much for a while. It was interesting to see the cracks begin to happen with Nina, but it wasn't enough to draw me in for a while. By the time the last act begins though, it had fully pulled me in and I was wondering how it was all going to end. Personally, I think a case can be made that the movie is just a dream, but I don't really know if that is what the story was actually going for. It can be hard to tell what is real and what isn't, which leads to a couple of surprises along the way. I don't think that this is a movie I would watch very often after this just because I'm not into dancing, but I'm happy that I got around to watching it.
