Internet was out for a little bit so I decided to watch this with commentary only to discover that the Blu-ray/DVD includes THREE commentary tracks because it was produced in an era where people still cared abounded giving physical media the value it deserved.
I went with the “Filmmakers and Cast Track” for this viewing (That’s Sam Raimi, Kirsten Dunst, and a couple of the producers) and what is most fascinating about it is hearing insight on this movie NOT colored by the sequels, the reboots, the rise of the MCU, or any other outside factors. It’s just talking about this movie from its moment of time and everyone involved is so clearly passionate and knowledgeable about the film they created. Also, Kirsten Dunst making fun of the dumbass kid in the parade scene was pretty funny.
I will get to the other two commentary tracks at a later date. Internet is back and I have other things to deal with.
Oh and the movie itself still rules.
