Not as bad as I remember. Still extremely silly in parts but the makeup effects and practical sets are pretty stunning. Tim Roth is wild as Thade and Giamatti as Limbo is having a blast. Marky Mark is pretty bad but man this movie goes for it, A for effort here.
There is something pretty nostalgic about these late 90s-early 2000’s action adventure movies including this. LOTR and Pirates are the high points while something like Battlefield Earth is the lowest of low. This film is in the middle hovering just below The Mummy.
