About halfway through the movie, my wife got up to leave. Then the Pole Cats showed up and she stood in place for 15 minutes watching one of the greatest action set pieces of all time. Mad Max: Fury Road is one of the singular achievements in Action Movie history. (Or in Film History, period.) Soderbergh said it best when he mused, "I don't understand how they're not still shooting that film and I don't understand how hundreds of people aren't dead." What Miller has done here truly defies belief.
My current pick for the Best Film of the 21st Century.
I will watch this movie 8-10 more times before I die.
