¿qué no se ha dicho, analizado, contado, mostrado sobre esta película? Una de mis obras favoritas de Steven Spielberg, una masterclass del manejo y poder del dispositivo cinematográfico de forma literal y metafórica. 
Si la película empieza con esa escena en la bajada de la playa, esa batalla, como está filmada, es la guerra retratada de forma literal, falta el olor a muerte. Es tremendo y tétrico al mismo tiempo, y si empieza así, la presentación de nuestros personajes que nos acompañan durante toda la película y esto no es ni siquiera el conflicto ni es ni siquiera la trama misma de la película ¿que podemos esperar de lo que viene si empezamos con una secuencia así de magnífica y memorable en el cine?, todo lo que le sigue es maravilloso y más. Esa construcción de los personajes, como vamos generando vínculos de amor-odio con algunos, todo lo que sucede en el medio. Y que todo en un ambiente de guerra absoluta, y de igual forma sin rozar la falta de respeto hay momentos de humor, de afloje, de tensión, es una película que puede ser recordada por mil y una razones, es magnífica. 

Steven Spielberg en su máxima expresión, haciendo de las suyas en una película bélica inolvidable.

What has not been said, analyzed, told, shown about this film? One of my favorite works by Steven Spielberg, a masterclass of the handling and power of the cinematographic device in a literal and metaphorical way.

If the film begins with that scene on the descent of the beach, that battle, as it is filmed, is the war portrayed literally, the smell of death is missing. It is tremendous and gloomy at the same time, and if it starts like this, the presentation of our characters who accompany us throughout the film and this is not even the conflict nor is it even the very plot of the film, what can we expect from what is coming if we start with such a magnificent and memorable sequence in the cinema?, everything that follows is wonderful and more. That construction of the characters, how we are generating love-hate bonds with some, everything that happens in the middle. And that everything in an atmosphere of absolute war, and in the same way without touching the lack of respect there are moments of humor, of looseness, of tension, it is a film that can be remembered for a thousand and one reasons, it is magnificent.

Steven Spielberg at his best, making his own in an unforgettable war movie.
