Miles, being Spider-Man is a sacrifice. That's the job.

So we're just supposed to let people die?

You have a choice between saving one person and saving every world. To me, that's an obvious choice.

I can do both! Spiderman always....

Not always.

What about Uncle Ben?

If not for Uncle Ben, most of us wouldn't be here!

First time watch.

+ Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) A.K.A the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man catapults across the multiverse along with Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) where he encounters a team of Spider-people in charge to protect its very existence. With the threat from a new villain, heroes clash with one other and Miles must redefine the responsibilities of Spider-Man.

It's been over 5 years since 'Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse' came out and to a massive surprise, became such a beloved film that it raised the bar not just for comic book films, not just animated films, but films in general. And well, these 5 years have been worth the wait for the sequel, once again, has set a new bar.

This builds upon the brilliance of its predecessor by taking the scope to an whole other level. The film plunged the audience into an exhilarating journey, one that doesn't stop to take a breath. It's constantly moving forward, never stops. It elevates the stakes, pushing the boundaries of what we thought was possible in this particular genre of movie as a whole.

It manages to delves deeper into the characters that we fell in love the first time around, allowing them to evolve their character development and for them to face brand new challenges. The emotional depth and the growth of the characters can resonate with audiences on such an profound level making us to cheer for any triumphs and to empathize with their struggles.

The film manages to find the perfect balance between the more heartwarming moments, the action, and even thought-provoking themes making this such a truly unforgettable experience. People will say that's it's just fan service, but the same can be said about 'No Way Home' and that was yet another experience for Spider-Man fans. The same can be said here. Full of Spider-Man references and cameos.

Gwen Stacy is the MVP of the film and Hailee Steinfeld is the MVP of the voice actors. The way that we get her backstory at the start of the film even before the opening credits shows is just a powerful decision to contribute to her journey and to add layers of depth.

Another standout in the voice acting is Oscar Isaac as Miguel O'Hara! While Shameik Moore is even better as Miles this time around.

Animated or not, this has to be a contender for the best looking film of the year! Every frame should be hung up in art museums all around the world. It goes beyond what the first film accomplished and that was already amazing. The mixture of styles throughout the film makes it hard for this to top. My personal favourite style has to be the style that was used for Gwen's homeworld, the watercolour design is pure eye candy, and the fact it constantly changes to match the mood and the feelings of the characters involved is visually stunning!!! But the blend of other animation styles throughout the film

Every scene has something going on that will require multiple rewatches just to catch those details. Lots of cool Easter eggs aswell.

The way that's it's technically a "part 1" but not branding itself as an "part 1" is just an great move as it ends on such an amazing cliffhanger that even I heard the young kids in my screening today say "is that the end"? because obviously they didn't know what was in store. It's an shame we have to wait, because I need to see how the story ends, like now!! 😖😖

The score and soundtrack are still as fire as the predecessor.

Just go and see this in cinemas, then go again, and again and again....

Going to put my foot down and say that is will be the best comic book film of the year and the best to feature the multiverse.... 👀

'Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse' is a stunning piece of animation and fully deserves it's place along with it's predecessor as one of the greatest comic book films ever made. One hell of a accomplishment!

Phenomenal!
Perfect!
