I liked "Longlegs"--maybe not as much as some people on here, but I'm also not in the camp of "the ending sucked!" which I'm seeing a lot of, also.

This is probably Osgood Perkins' (what a name, right?) best film yet. His strengths are absolutely in the visuals and moods of his movies. I still believe he could bring on a partner to flesh out some of his stories a little more, but you know, the ambiguity and dream-like quality of this material also usually works in its favor.

Great job keeping the villain under wraps until nearly the halfway point, and then showing him only sparingly after that. This was a wise decision, and I'm sure not an easy one; it must have been tempting to let the star run wild and chew up the scenery, as he's frequently allowed in other films.

Also, I didn't know until today that Oz Perkins is Anthony Perkins' son. Just never knew it.
