Man, what a film!
Absolutely stunning visually, emotionally, narratively, and incredibly breathtaking in its presentation of animation.
From the stylistic comic onomatopoeias splashing on-screen to the incredible use of lighting and pacing, staging its frames in such a dynamic way that changed not just how I but how many view animation, and how it may be further utilised in animation as a medium.
The soundtrack is as well one of a kind, exploring the historical value of its tones and adding true depth to the story and production quality. Carving a way for the film to truly standout in an era where the same sounding shit has been used for so many films, it creates something that’s truly creative, interesting, and unique!
The story is also phenomenal, a perfect origin story for a great character that pays proper tribute to the history of the brand and truly showcases the possibilities of comic book movies that unfortunately is not always the case.
Truly a masterpiece in animation, storytelling, historical culmination, and cinema.
