hi everyone. i've seen people use this to give more personal updates, and i figured that i should give one when i really need to. and i need to right now. it's nothing bad, don't worry. and you don't have to read if you don't want to.

for the 3 or 4 people that noticed, i've been gone for a while, popping up once in a while to like or comment on a post. this is the longest i've gone without watching a movie in a long, long time. and i had good reason to be gone. stress.

holy shit i've been stressed. to the point where i've been neglecting school work and pulling all-nighters. you didn't know this until now, but i'm a pretty studious person. i do my school work before it's due and get shit in on time (for the most part), i get pretty darn good grades, and i'm always able to get myself out of a pinch. but with what's been happening in my personal life for the past two weeks or so, i just haven't been able to get my mind set back to where it should have been until now.

without going into details that would implicate certain people, i've been talking to someone virtually everyday to try and help them deal with a situation that was harming them. i'm an empathetic person. i feel for people a lot, especially if i care about them. and some of the shit that i've heard and that we've both been through over the past few weeks have made my life a rollercoaster. not to diminish their issues, which are monumentally greater than anything i'm going through now or have been through, but still. my life is boring, and then suddenly turned very, very eventful.

thankfully, things (hopefully) got resolved this weekend and i've finally been able to prioritize my school-work and health. my life is boring once again. so hopefully i can go back to watching movies in the very near future. i just wanted to let those who care know where i've been. don't worry about it, this person is doing better.

so yeah. that's that. if you didn't guess already, i care a lot about people. i want them to do well. so i'm going to say something that i should say more often: i hope you're doing well. i really do wish the best for most people. so yeah, movie watching shall hopefully resume. i was supposed to watch Judas and the Black Messiah the weekend i watched The Father, but obviously that didn't happen. also Shiva Baby and some Oscar contenders, but I guess that won't be happening either. but everything's fine now. and that's good, because goddamn. AP exams, SAT, and Aloha Concert (IN PERSON!!!) are fun. so much fun. will definitely still watch Judas, might try to watch all of the shorts, but do i really want to under this time crunch? idk, will probably be continuing to watch ATLA tho, 3 episodes into season 2 and i love it more than i did season 1 already. and FatWS is super good too! better stick the landing unlike some other shows *cough*WandaVision*cough*. ok that's enough i should go to sleep. can't wait for the rest of my film class to see my crappy "short" that i had to make for them and don't care about tomorrow morning! how is film my least favorite class?
