Far more consistent than Happy as Lazzaro, and once it settles into its core rhythm it’s unexpectedly a tomb-raiding romp with some satisfying magical realist elements. It’s light, but avoids any saccharine pitfalls. The ending had a beautifully physical-metaphysical dynamic, reminded me of The Hole’s, but not quite as transcendent.
