This movie is very abstract. The implication of the movie shows that monolithic is defined as something that will increase intelligence. First situation, a group of monkeys see things that have never been seen before. As a result of this thought, it was possible to find a way to defeat the other monkeys. And they have been enhanced intellectually in the second situation. At the moon the human meets monolith. Now they know that there's a creatures that have wisdom more than them which impluse them to discover higher and farther wisdom at Jupiter. third situation, artificial intelligence named HAL recognized monolith and realized that it's smarter than humans. In the last situation, we all were curious what wisdom will humans increase after this, which the movie shows us the protagonist who saw a futuristic and space-time system that humans could never understand.
