I’ll start off by saying that I actually enjoyed this regardless of the cons. I thought this was a wonderful whim of nostalgia through Tim Burton’s eyes. Michael, Winona, Catherine, and Jenna were phenom, as expected. As far as complaints, the main gripe I have is that the new characters that were added almost seem pointless in the end. Lack of character development is always a miss for me in any film, because it really steals away screen time from characters that actually matter. I disliked how underutilized Monica’s character was, especially as much as she was advertised.
My little complaints aside, I definitely say check it out in theaters and I will definitely be watching again. More than likely in theaters and then
blu-ray!
