A true cinematic spectacle that would be an undisputed masterpiece had it focused slightly more on being a character study. Murphy plays the titular Oppenheimer to absolute perfection and Nolan’s typical non-linear motif only makes the story more observing and moreover the climax highly satisfying. Multiple scenes here that are sure to cement themselves into cinematic history. Can feel rather heavy to digest at times though the mesmerising score and visuals help this considerably.
Undoubtedly wouldn’t have worked had it been in any other directors hands. Needs to be seen on the biggest scene possible.
Screw my work for making me miss the Barbie double feature.
