The quintessential tale of self discovery. From selfish cub to noble, brave hero. The animation is gorgeous, holds up very well and creates some very impressive spectacle. The musical numbers are the most iconic Disney has ever produced and even though I hadn’t seen the movie in a very long time I still knew most the words! The emotional scenes/beats hit real hard and sometimes it’s difficult not to tear up a bit.
The 2010s era of Disney had a lot to live up to and most of them are great but nothing will live up to the spectacular creative vision this 2D animation style upholds.
