"Brightbill was never supposed to get this far. You know that. It is more dangerous for him than anyone else. But he has a chance if, where his wings end, his heart can pay the balance."

This one didn't land for me. A mismatch, honestly—aimed squarely at younger eyes and ears. The story tries to balance emotional depth with a dash of adventure, but from where I'm sitting, it falls flat. Sure, it's visually vibrant, and there's a sweetness in the connections it tries to explore. But as an adult, I found it lacking layers—there's nothing beneath the surface charm to truly grip you. The film leans heavily into simple life lessons and light humour, which, while cute, didn't satisfy my craving for a more nuanced look at identity or survival.
That said, I get why it works for kids. It's got a gentle heart and a sense of wonder that speaks right to them. I had to ask the kids what they thought, and they absolutely loved it. But for me? I think I'll introduce them to a better robot film—WALL-E, it is.
